Abstract

On the current socio-cultural scene, narcissism comes before ideals, which helps modern man to establish in a depressing and distressing dimension of metonymical depressive euphoria. With this concept in mind, we try to place a fundamental clinical concept that Freud elaborated throughout his work: it is about “the father from the unconscious”, through out the Oedipus complex and the Castration complex. This is a key word for both psychical desiring and subject’s structure. Lacan refers this “father’s rol” as the prior theory from which the consequent clinical structures will develop. We will encounter this application in the Oedipical drama of Juanito’s case.
